Amy & Richard decided to have a destination wedding because they wanted an intimate wedding with no more than 50 guests, just family and close friends. They decided to have it in Tuscany to take advantage of the warm summer weather and informality that the countryside setting offers.
Each centerpiece for the round tables was created with 1 wooden lantern and vases in different shape and forms, using different combination of flowers in white, light pink, fuchsia and blue using roses, delphinium, hydrangea, and sweet peas.
Amy wanted to compensate the informality of the place by including detailed decor. She personally purchased the lavender & crystal decorations for the wedding ceremony, buckets for the tables that were filled with candies and "thank you" tags. Small heart shape pins for the name cards that were pinned on each wine glass. After dinner a cheese plate and cheese wedding cake was served with chestnut honey, green tomatoes, and jam. This sweet wedding cake was the typical italian cake, millefoglie with chantilly cream.
The tuscan countryside and Casa Cornacchi were the perfect backdrop for this informal affair!
