Inspired by Tuscany’s romantic villas and the Provencal French countryside, Monique and Philippe’s intimate wedding at Sunstone Winery a beautiful mixture of pastels, whites, and hints of gold. Hosted by Styled Shoots Across America and planned and designed by the talents of Heather Benge Events the couple’s destination wedding was everything they had been envisioning from the beginning.
As guests rounded the corner to the back courtyard of the Sunstone Villa their eyes were drawn past the gold chairs to focus on the beautiful flower arch created by Cece Designs as the backdrop for the couple’s ceremony altar. The light tan of the sandstone of the villa and the pastel hues of pinks, whites, and light blues of the floral arch was the perfect contrast to bring out the best design elements of both the building and the altar.
During their ceremony, Monique and Philippe shared vows from their bespoke journals calligraphed by Invitations By Whitney. After tying the knot, the couple and their few guests were whisked away to an intimate dinner on the back lawn with views overlooking the hills of the Santa Ynez Valley and the full expanse of the villa. To find their seats, guests looked for their names on beautifully designed charcuterie boards by Legacy House Creative that were placed on the table with a small bouquet of lavender tied neatly together with a pink bow.
Nuage Design and Party Pleasers combined their efforts to create a stunning tablescape under a white canopy complete with a chandler. Each guest was seated in front of a gold plated charger and flatware and a large bouquet of pastel hues were carefully placed in the center of the table with varying heights of candles surrounding it lighting the meal as the evening sun dipped lower in the sky. After dinner, guests were treated to a slice of the couple’s three-tiered light pink cake, designed with flowers on each tier and lavender hand pressed into the side created by Nicole Bakes Cakes. A slice of cake was a wonderful ending to a marvelous dinner.
Monique wore a stunning off-the-shoulder white gown with a floral pattern sewed magnificently into the top layers of tulle. Her long train flicked behind her with every step of her Badgley Mischka heels almost as if dancing along the top of each blade of grass. Sun Kissed and Made Up added soft and romantic touches to her already elegant look. Her groom, Philippe complemented her incredibly in his three-piece navy suit with a white tie from The Modern Groom.
As the couple conversed with their loved ones creating new memories of the day they were married, the candle's stem brought the flicker of light lower and lower following the setting sun's trajectory. It was the perfect setting for the perfect day. Captured by Jocelyn & Spencer, Monique & Philippe celebrated their love with their delicate luxe micro-wedding with pastels at Sunstone Winery.
