A Whimsical Pastel Inspiration at D’vine Grace Vineyard
A Wedding at Home on Martha’s Vineyard With a Must-Have Detail
A Vineyard Wedding Powered by Aperol Spritzes and Wild Party Vibes
A perfectly dreamy wedding set in a romantic vineyard, surrounded by majestic redwoods and accompanied by the soulful strumming of a live guitar–this enchanting setting was the backdrop for a love story that was years in the making. Our bride and groom first crossed paths in Los Angeles but frequently escaped to Napa Valley, finding solace at the charming Harvest Inn. Nearly 12 years later, they relocated to Napa to raise their son, who proudly served as their honored ring bearer at their wedding. It was only fitting that they exchanged their vows in a vineyard that held so many cherished memories.
In lovely satin and lace robes, the bride and her bridesmaids explored the vineyard grounds before getting into their dresses for the big day.
Finding the perfect dress proved challenging for the bride. She began her search in her home state of California but couldn't find the style she wanted. Hoping for better luck, she flew to New York and visited top boutiques, but still couldn't find what she liked. So, she decided to design her own gown. Casablanca Custom Designs helped bring her vision to life, using her favorite dresses as references to start the design process. She wanted a sweetheart neckline, a constructed bodice, and detachable sleeves with beading throughout. The result was a stunning dress with hand-beaded detailing on the top, reflecting her romantic style, and a simpler bottom half, representing the groom's classic taste. She wore the off-the-shoulder straps down the aisle and detached them for the reception. As a sweet surprise, a little girl wore the bride’s childhood dress, lovingly preserved by the bride's mother.
As guests arrived at the venue, they were greeted by a calligraphic welcome sign on an ornate gold mirror, while guitarist Justin Diaz played acoustic love songs. The ceremony took place in the Rose Garden, where the bride’s desire was to incorporate flowers without overshadowing the natural beauty of the vineyard and mountain views. The flower-filled arbor by Anne Mendenhall Flowers was large enough to create a romantic canopy for the bride and groom, yet it complemented rather than competed with the stunning vineyard vistas. The bride's bouquet was hand-tied with seasonal romantic blooms in shades of cream, mauve, and soft pink, delicately accented with hints of blue. Long-stemmed white roses, anchored in water-filled tubes, lined the soft grass aisle and swayed gently in the breeze as the bridal party walked, creating the illusion that they had naturally sprung up from the ground.
The wedding party moved to the next outdoor space where they enjoyed cocktail hour on a shaded lawn surrounded by redwoods. They celebrated with a champagne tower, marking a joyous transition to dinner. The bride and her mother designed a unique photo mirror showcasing each guest on a locket, sparking conversations and memories. Each locket also indicated the guest's dinner table number.
The dinner featured a sweetheart table adorned with flowers and the newlyweds' chairs were decorated with signage that read, "Better Together." Other tables were adorned with garden party-inspired decor, featuring peony arrangements in gold vases. The menus were sealed with matching wax seals bearing the words, "Bon Appétit" across the top! The couple gifted vineyard-view matchbooks featuring a watercolor painting capturing the beauty of the vineyard, ensuring everyone had a special memento to take home.
The cake was elevated by a Rosenthal crystal base and topped with a platter filled with Swarovski crystals. The platter slowly spun, revealing all the dimensions of the cake. The cake, adorned with cascading red flowers and the couple's gold monogram, was a true masterpiece.
