This charming Pennsylvania wedding is giving us serious secret garden vibes. From the lush garden ceremony to the chic tented reception, this intimate celebration was all about family and perfectly embodied the laid-back elegance that's trending so hard right now. The bride looked enchanting in a fitted (yet relaxed) crepe mermaid gown with delicate lace details that tied in beautifully with the garden concept. A blue suit was the perfect look for this dapper groom, it was put-together without being too stuffy.
Appleford Estate felt like a home away from home for this couple and all of their favorite people. The elegant grounds and cozy suites set the stage for this beautiful outdoor wedding. We love that Amaranth Florist really let nature be the star of the day and incorporated local greenery into the bride's bouquet, ceremony arrangements, and centerpieces. The understated green garland runner was the perfect touch to the family-style table settings. Elizebeth Unruh Studio took these bright beautiful photos and captured all of the love from this big day. How To Have A Glamorous Midsummer Garden Wedding
A special place in my heart formed when we met Hannah and Jake for the first time at their engagement session in the city center of Philadelphia. Leading up to their wedding, I knew this celebration would be one I’d remember forever. The couple got hitched at the iconic Appleford Estate in Villanova PA on a gorgeous summer evening surrounded by lavish greens and gardens. Appleford Estate is a hidden gem tucked away in the hills of Villanova and is known for its historic building and gardens which fit Hannah’s vision quite perfectly. Their colors were whites and greens and incorporated a twist of fresh baby's breath in the bridal bouquet made by Amaranth Florist. The tablescape and centerpieces matched the neutral colors and were completed with gold accents.
We started with the ladies in the Appleford bridal suite. The ladies shared champagne and giggles as the glam team, Eco Centric Salon: Jess Barbato & Sarah Foster, finished up hair for the bride and her bridal party. When it was time for Hannah to get ready we went to the private room where the bride's mother helped her get into her dress. Hannah wore a gorgeous form-fitting gown from Lovely Bride that had floral accents on the sleeves. On the other side of the venue, Jake and his groomsmen relaxed while he awaited the first look with his lovely bride-to-be. The couple shared their first look in the gardens as their bridal party cheered for them from inside the building.
The sun kissed the property perfectly as the couple shared their own handwritten vows to each other which gave us all an insight into their relationship. The humor, support, and compassion flowed through each of their words with a lot of laughs in between!
An incredible energy surrounded Hannah and Jake as they shared their first dance together as husband and wife to the song “Simply the Best” from the hit show Schitt’s Creek. Little did we know the surprise that the couple had for their guests! Hannah had one request–a black and white editorial format for the reception, which in my option told their story perfectly. Candid, heartfelt, and a whole lot of FUN. The guest surrounded the newlyweds on the dance floor the entire evening! But the party did not stop there. Hannah and Jake surprised guests with a dress change and choreographed last dance of the evening to Tina Turner's, “Simply the Best” to wrap up the theme of their day. It was a moment I will truly remember for the rest of my life.
