Rustic Winery Wedding: Country Meets Girly Chic

Happy bride and groom in a field

Sammie is a girly girl and Pete is a country cowboy. They met and fell in love in High School, but it wasn't just some crush. They decided they wanted to tie the knot and they chose the beautiful rustic winery, Brutocao Wine Cellars, up in Hopland, CA for their wedding. When Sammie started to plan this wedding she wanted to incorporate both her girly chic side and Pete's cowboy country side, and aspects of both can be seen throughout the entire thing.
To view all of the country yet classy details of this country meets vintage wedding, view the full gallery here, all amazingly captured by Jennifer Bagwell Photography.

Everyone was understanding of that fact that Sammie and Pete wanted a vintage country themed wedding and that Sammie wanted to try to have everything very original and unique. They used hay bails for seating for the ceremony to highlight the country aspect, but the soft flower decorated arch and gorgeous setting illuminated Sammie's girly touches.

From the Bride:My wedding was a complete DIY wedding. Although, I had a year and a half before I got married. It still did not seem long enough! So my advice to future DIY brides, take the time to deligate to people you trust to do some projects that share your vision of what you want. It is NEVER too early to start projects, it's not like they will expire!

All the decor, flatware, place settings, and mason jars were from the Bride, Sammie. She owns an antique store so she spent an entire year gathering everything from all different antique stores, garage sales, and flea markets. She even went antiquing in Tennessee and North Carolina! Each table had different country styled linens and centerpieces. Each made by Sammie and her friends and family.

I ended up having such a fun and unique wedding, everything I ever wanted. I started a vintage country wedding rental business called Anything But Ordinary, after my wedding. I am constantly adding to my inventory so it keeps growing! I love helping other brides that want the same vintage country style wedding, but cant afford or have the time for it.
