After growing up, meeting, and falling in love in rural Tennessee, Shaina and Todd knew an intimate outdoor wedding was the way to go. They found the perfect location to tie the knot just outside of Nashville at the rustic Cedarwood. This amazing venue had everything they wanted and so much more. Cedarwood Weddings designed and coordinated their special day along with providing the beautiful florals and furniture rentals. Talk about a one-stop shop!
This is such an amazing wedding with so many gorgeous details, including our favorites — the three-dimensional flower stationary and guestbook that Designs In Paper created. Don't miss any of the details by viewing more amazing images Photographix captured of this colorful rustic wedding in the full gallery here.
From Cedarwood Weddings:Knowing that a big, extravagant wedding was not their style, Shaina and Todd dreamed of a marrying in an idyllic outdoor setting with only Mother Nature and their closest loved ones. Self-professed ‘non fussy’ and ‘low key’ they wanted a celebration that was as comfortable as small town country life, but big in heart, personality and spontaneity.
On the Venue:
The breathtaking Cedarwood venue is the perfect setting for any wedding. With an historic home built in the 1830's, covered pavilion, rustic barn, beautiful gardens and serene lake, Cedarwood features several ceremony and reception sites so whether you're dreaming of either an indoor wedding, an outdoor wedding or a venue they can accommodate both!
In lieu of a traditional guestbook Shaina and Todd asked their guests to sign there name on a leaf and then place it to the paper display below. Place in a shadow box and you have one super cute wedding remembrance.
Incorporating Todd and Shaina’s love of lakes, a blend of modern and vintage decor, bold color and casual whimsy, the Cedarwood design team created an intimate ceremony at the venue’s “Mooncake Lake” using bright, happy flowers – including some handmade paper posies - to enhance the natural beauty surrounding them.
A combination of organic freshness and artistic whimsy is the essence of event styling, from “flower-in-a-box” custom invitations and a flower petal thumbprint "guest book," to a barn reception full of flowers overflowing from vintage milk glass and fiesta ware.
Dinner naturally featured southern cuisine, sweet tea and a bountiful dessert table including the bride’s favorite treat, candy-sprinkled caramel apples. We love the bit of mod in this sweet country wedding.
