Sweeping views of the Colorado Rockies set the rustic and romantic atmosphere at Stephen and Heather's outdoor wedding. They kept it simple with succulent and wildflower floral arrangements sprinkled through out their ceremony and reception. One of our favorite elements has to be the overall venue, the scenery is breathtaking and really makes an utterly breathtaking backdrop.

One of our favorite elements of the wedding was these adorable flower girls in matching sun dresses, flower boots and blue hair bows. Not only do they look ultra darling, but their look seamlessly blends in with this rustic Colorado wedding.
From the Grandmother of the Groom:Stephen and Heather came together in a mountain meadow at the Home Ranch, just north of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, to become husband and wife. Their processional was accompanied by a guitar and piano rendition of ‘Summertime,’ by the groom’s cousin and uncle.
Their vows were witnessed by 125 friends and relatives, in a setting of astonishing beauty: thousands of acres of bright green ranchlands, edged by the Elk River, dotted with homesteads, grazing cattle, and horses, all protected by the grand silhouette of the Sand Mountain Wilderness Area.
After the ceremony, the wedding party was taken for a turn round the meadow in an elegant carriage pulled by two handsome horses - expertly in step, but, appropriately for this modern-day marriage, not exactly matched.
Then the bride and groom, guarded at all times by a bevy of small flower girl cousins, proceeded with their family and guests to The Home Ranch lawn for an evening of food and dancing in a great white tent, its transparent roof offering a brilliant view of the Colorado stars.
From the Bride:I wish my (new) husband and I would have practiced our first dance - that was by far the most uncomfortable part of the whole day! Though we picked out the song, we never actually practiced moving around in our wedding outfits and felt a bit clumsy and awkward (our friends reassured us that nobody noticed our lack of rhythm!)
I also wish I had been able to sample all of the food prepared by the amazing Home Ranch chefs! Many people had warned us to set aside time to eat during the reception, which we did, but I never got to try any of the appetizers or cocktails served before dinner and I only ended up having a sliver of cake.
