Classics are by definition traditional and well worn favorites. Classic weddings are there for naturally some of our favorites as they put time honored ideas and traditions to good use, making the day feel like an absolute fairytale. Kaitlin and Brendan's classy New York state castle wedding with muted color palette is a prime example you simply have to see!
There is plenty more for you to enjoy of this fabulous wedding day in the full gallery. It is packed with stunning photos from Rut Photography, so be sure to check it out!
While the bride opted for a dreamy, blush, ballerina inspired ball-gown with plunging neckline, bridesmaids favored soft, muted neutral wrap dresses, and gentlemen, classic black tuxedos, complementing the ceremony’s grand cathedral setting.
In the ballroom, dining tables were enhanced with lush greenery & peach-tree blossom branches arranged in antique milk bottles and country mason jars. For our sweetheart table, we embraced an intimate wooden farm table (it was, in fact, our very own kitchen table) dressed with brass heirloom candlesticks and whimsical market flowers.
1. Have fun. Many couples become overwhelmed by the wedding process, as there are many things that need to be done, chosen, paid for, etc., and it can be easy to forget why you're putting in so much hard work. In the end, you are going to marry the person of your dreams. Try to remember that and it will help turn all of those "tasks" into goals that the two of you will have achieved together.
2. Honeymoon is Key. Don't skimp out on an unforgettable post-nuptial vacation. Our wedding was amazing and everyone had the time of their lives, but when the celebration is over, be sure to spend some quality alone-time with your new spouse. The two of you will cherish that time together for the rest of your lives.
1. Don't pinch pennies when it comes to your photographer and videographer. When the celebrations have concluded, all that you will take away from the day are the memories. Be frugal throughout the process, but don't forget to preserve all those precious moments by hiring a great photographer and videographer.
2. Take individual pictures with your loved ones. Don't forget to take individual photos with your bridesmaids, parents and grandparents. It seems obvious, but with limited time for photos, we ended up only having group shots of our bridal party and families. Looking back, I wish I would have carved out time for individual photos.
