Glitz and glamour don't have to break your budget; which is exactly what our next bride, Caitlin, teaches us with her classic glamour pink and gold wedding!

We got married at Hotel Monaco in Alexandria, VA which was definitely on the pricier side. We knew this going into it so we balanced that by DIYing all of our decorations.
Instead of using a florist, I decided to go with a local flower farmer I met at my farmer's market. That was probably the best decision I could've made. So many friends told me their biggest regret was spending thousands on flowers that only last a day. For 6 bouquets (mine & bridesmaids) and about 20 bunches of flowers for the tables I spent a total of $600!
From Rachael Foster Photography: In a nod to Ben's favorite sport (cycling), and the National Cherry Blossom Festival, guests left their cards in the cherry-blossom festooned basket of a pink bicycle and found their seat assignments pinned to antique bronze bike wheels.
For our budget, we made a google spreadsheet and included EVERY expense that would be related to the wedding. I mean everything. Save the dates, Invites, stamps for invites/save the dates, gifts, decorations, dress, suit, shoes, venue fees, etc.
This was extremely helpful and I would highly recommend that couples create a google spreadsheet when they start planning their budget. You can enter every detail you can think of (and use recommendations from wedding websites), insert the expected cost, then insert the actual cost and anything you missed along the way.
