Write your own vows

Once our ceremony began, it was apparent that the intimacy and intensity was far greater than we, or anyone ever could have expected. Surrounded by candlelight and the love of our family and friends, we began the conversation that would forever unite us. Brad and I wrote our own personal vows to one another. Vows that brought us, as well as our guests, to tears. It was raw and real. We will forever cherish that moment for the rest of our lives.

choreograph your first dance

Months prior to our wedding day, Brad and I learned a choreographed dance. From the moment we took our first steps and locked eyes with one another, it was as if we were taken to another place. It was one of the most romantic moments of our day. One that we will never forget. From the beautiful decor, to the impeccable food, our reception was everything we dreamt it would be. It was relaxing and intimate. It was a time of great conversation with our closest family and friends. It was a time of celebration and love. It was absolutely perfect.

When I began planning our wedding, I knew that I wanted it to be unique. I chose a color palette that was very neutral and chose a dress very vintage in style and feel. I think it was a surprise to many throughout the planning stages. As time went on and things began to come together, everyone soon fell in love with the whole concept. The biggest tip of advice I can give brides, is to be true to yourself and what you want your day to look like. Try not to get caught up in the world of Pinterest. It can confuse your planning and create rabbit trails that will soon begin to derail you from the day you always dreamt up and imagined.
