Rustic casual is how the couple described their ideal wedding, and they certainly got it! To set the tone, the guests arrived at the ceremony where they were greeted by a wooden arbor draped in florals and crowned with a deer skull. The color palette was kept to pretty neutrals like beige, champagne, and navy. After the ceremony, they made their way to a large white barn with a warm wooden interior where long tables were draped with greenery and low florals. The couple enjoyed a lovely dinner with their nearest and dearest and together they danced the night away under the grand chandelier and twinkle lights outside.
Ces Weddings & Events was so excited to work with this couple and design a wedding in the brand new venue, The Barn At Pheasant Trail Ranch! These understated florals by Galeazi's Floral Designs gave the event the feel of a wedding without taking the design too formal. Ashley Carlascio Photography captured every detail from this special day on film, from the invitations and the velvet ring box to heartfelt moments between the bridal party as they got ready. When Ally and Mitchell were asked what details they most wanted to remember from their wedding day, they responded: "The Barn, the guests, and the dancing." I can say with certainty that no one who attended Ally and Mitchell's late May wedding at The Barn at Pheasant Trail Ranch is likely to forget any of those details. Built in 2020, The Barn At Pheasant Trail Ranch is Chico's newest premier wedding venue, and it is stunning. Nestled among a working walnut orchard just a few miles from downtown Chico, The Barn is a white post and beam barn that has a look and feel of being a century old while boasting the amenities of its modern-day construction. Ally and Mitchell could not have chosen a more memorable or magical place to host their wedding.
Ally and her bridesmaids got ready in The Barn's bridal loft. The bride had previously described their wedding look as both "rustic" and "casual." Ally's stunning lace gown from Miosa Bride (paired with white leather cowboy boots), the bridesmaid's beautiful ivory dresses from Show Me Your Mumu, and the understated elegance of The Barn made it clear that this wedding day's look was going to be a very chic version of rustic and casual. Once the girls were ready, they met up with the boys and the families to take portraits before the ceremony.
Ally and Mitchell had their wedding ceremony on The Barn's lawn which overlooks the walnut orchards. While the lawn is only a few steps outside of The Barn's structure, the ceremony space and encompassing trees create an atmosphere where the wedding party and guests can feel wholly connected to their surroundings and the present moment. At the end of the lawn's aisle, Ally and Mitchell's talented florist, Galeazi's Floral Designs, adorned the archway with white florals, sprays of greenery, and a crowning 8-point buck skull. It was the perfect personal addition to the ceremony space's lush backdrop.
As soon as their "I do’s” were said, Ally and Mitchell started spending time with their loved ones. Because we had taken all their portraits before the ceremony, they maximized their time with their guests. I always love when clients elect to have their wedding day flow this way. It always seems to allow couples to have the most fun and remain present with one another and their guests. Ally and Mitchell were wholeheartedly enjoying themselves and their company throughout the reception. They only stole away from the crowd once to capture some sunset shots together in the orchards. As soon as the dance floor opened, everyone's boots hit the floor and got right to work dancing the night away. Ally, Mitchell, and their guests created such an epic dance party that I personally will not be forgetting any time soon. It truly was a beautiful day filled with laughter and love as Ally and Mitchell finally became HUSBAND and WIFE!
