From the Bride: From the welcome table to the wedding cake our day was filled with details from our personal lives. All the small decorations including: the potted succulents, card mailbox, program fans, bird name cards were planted, painted, cut, glued together and wrapped with ribbons by Leo and I, we put a lot of time and effort into them in hopes they added personal charm to the wedding.
Our florist encouraged us to choose all the flowers two days before the event with her. I highly recommend this route to anyone who can swing it, it made all the difference finalizing our vision!
I would advise that depending on the location of the wedding, certain things cost almost double what we expected and that was with Leo and I doing a lot of decorations and favors ourselves. Items we spent more than expected on were: catering/alcohol, linens, officiants (we had two as Leo is Jewish and I am Catholic), cake, & venue.
