You are bound to have a few mishaps throughout your big day, but if you just roll with it you can have a fabulous day and some killer stories to look back on. Ron and Liz did just that at their chic California wine country wedding and they loved every minute of their day.
This beautiful day was coordinated by Bash, Please and captured by Nordica Photography. To see more of the glamorous details you can visit the full gallery here.
From the Bride: We had one man in the wedding party without a tie! Durham Ranch is nowhere near our hotel so we couldn't go back to see if it was there! Glen, who was actually a brides man, had to give up his tie so that the groomsmen looked cohesive. Ron eventually found the tie in his suitcase after the wedding.
We had a couple other mishaps but I know look at them as memorable. I had a cathedral length veil that blew on top of a candle during the ceremony and melted in places until Glen, the brides man, discreetly threw a rock on my veil to keep it out of the flame.
Wear comfortable shoes if you want beautiful pictures! I wore flat sandals for the wedding and I'm glad I did. Jakob, our photographer, found some beautiful locations around Durham Ranch but they were not always easy to get to. If I wore uncomfortable shoes, we would have never gotten some of the beautiful shots we did.
People are telling you the truth when they say the day flies by! I tried to soak in every moment from the moment I woke up with my family to the last moment at Durham Ranch when Ron and I stood under the beautiful starry sky. The few mishaps we had (the ties, the melting veil) are now incredibly funny stories.
