This chic and sophisticated wine country wedding is a sight to behold at Tsillan Cellars in Washington. The rows of vineyards and scenic views made it the first choice for this lovely couple’s romantic outdoor wedding with hints of blush + red. Their gorgeous reception leaves you feeling like you’re in the Italian countryside when in reality, this venue is only 3 hours outside of Seattle.
The bride looked smart + flawless in her dreamy Hayley Paige wedding dress, which she scored on Still White (have you seen their dresses yet?!) while the groom looked dapper in his cool blue suit. Keep scrolling because there’s much more to love, including a vintage 1974 VW Thing - the getaway car of choice for this awesome couple - then catch every last photo in the full gallery from Jordana Griffith.
From the bride: I'm the almost forty-year-old bride twenty-something women worry about being. But boy was he worth the wait. We had a short five month engagement but luckily I've been reading wedding magazines (then blogs) since high school and I am a project planner by day. He chose our venue and location. There are so many details I knew he wouldn't care much about so I tried to give him fun things to make decisions on and when he weighed in on a topic I always opted for his preference. He picked the venue, menu, cake flavors, and the groomsmen attire.
Chelan is wine country in Washington and reminds me of Italy. Dotted with lovely wineries and vineyards you forget you're a three-hour drive from Seattle.
We loveeeee this Thing!
Our vision was classic, clean, romantic and chic with poetic and personal touches. Our initials "C+N" and names "Craig and Nicole" tied together our decor along with the themes of gold leaves (my headpiece/crown, menu, favor matchbooks, napkins, and cake) and paper (I am an avid reader who loves and writes poetry) there were large paper roses at our ceremony and reception sites, small blush paper roses were at each place setting, books greeted guests at our guest book/gift table, our menu had a selection of poems (including one of mine), and the bird cages hanging instead of chandeliers along with the birdcage on our gift table for cards were a nod to my favorite poem "Sky Circles" by Rumi "birds make great sky circles of their freedom, how do they learn that, they fall and fallen they're given wings".
My gown is Hayley Paige purchased on Still White. It has the smallest hint of blush and champagne in it. So I opted for blush pink heels and a flower bracelet tied with a pink ribbon (to hide my running watch tan). After sunset, I also wore a vintage black caplet and carried a small vintage black clutch. We left our reception in his 1974 VW Thing. It's his dream ride and I love it. It was the perfect getaway vehicle.
