Charming Rustic Wedding At The Good Tymes Barn
Starting out as just friends, Melissa and John lost touch for six years, but when they reunited something had changed. Just friends turned into "just friends", and then it turned into so much more. Four months after they started dating, he proposed to her, and, obviously, she said yes They chose the beautiful Michigan wedding venue, The Good Tymes Barn, for their gorgeous rustic wedding. From the Bride:The best part of the wedding, besides the whole getting married to my man thing, was that my family was such a big part of it. My Nana and Mother did all the decorations; center pieces, alter decorations & the beautiful handmade wedding favors. One of the most special moments about the day was my brother & I are super close & he was actually the one who married us.
I loved the idea of having a wedding at a barn so I just started looking on the internet. I found this one and just fell in love with its rustic charm. I wanted rustic & romantic so my family & I took that and went with it. My Nana and Mom are ridiculously talented with decorating so I trusted them to do most of that. We picked wild flowers in fall colors because it was a fall wedding. John's, the groom, favorite color is blue so we picked that & it was great cause all the bright fall colors really popped against it.
I can't say there is one memory better than another. The day couldn't have gone any better. Our closest friends and family were there to celebrate with us and that was the best part. Everyone had so much fun and smiles seemed to never leave their faces. I don't think there is anything we would of done differently. At the end of that night we both said it couldn't of been a better day.
