From Samantha Laffon Photography: Bruce and Laura had one matron of honor and one best man, but Laura wanted to recognize her closest friends by having them dress in navy and be her "something blue"From the Bride:I fretted about the weather beforehand checking the forecast every day for weeks in advance, and it changed each day and ended up being nothing like what we thought it would be so if I could travel back in time, I would also not obsess about it as much as I did.
We kept the guest list smaller because we wanted an intimate wedding so that we could afford really good food and drinks for our guests. The Bristol which is a local restaurant in Louisville caters exclusively for our venue so it turned out awesome.
Our day was beautiful, but very cold. Most of our guests ate dinner on the porch, but they were great about bringing coats, and getting by our outdoor heaters to stay warm.
I did spend a good amount on decorations too and I mostly used Etsy to find things I liked and that we will continue to decorate our house with. My husband and I also went to antique shops and flea markets to decorations like the globe. And we absolutely love this globe! What a fun way to have your guests express their congratulations on something that you can proudly display in your new home for years to come.
From Samantha Laffon Photography:Everything from the guestbook globe, to games for guests to play, to the doughnut bar was perfect and full of character. Even her stunning bouquet had succulents which she had grown in her home. This beautiful wedding did not lack any detail or thoughtful planning.
