My husband's best friend Chad married Lys in St. Croix earlier this year. To celebrate with family and friends who couldn't make the trip, they held a reception party closer to home at the Ravenswood Historical Site in Livermore. Lys was very creative with every little detail she created. The couple has traveled to many places around the world, and to bring in that part of their life, each table number was a different country. What was even more unique was the seating chart. Not only did they have 'tickets' as the table assignments the seating chart was created using a map to pin point the country you were in. Every detail that could be thought of was achieved. Crates painted with their initials were used as wine crates and glass crates as well as the main centerpiece for the head table. And they are the first couple I've ever seen have games for the guests. How fun and unique is that? Where was Lys when I was planning my wedding? The colors were a beautiful soft pink rose that adorned every possible area, including the cocktail buffet table, and striking green accents and, of course, the embellishments of world travel everywhere you looked just made us swoon! It was a beautiful day for such a beautiful party.
