Fun times were had by all at Cory and Ross's June wedding at The Maples Wedding & Event Center. This Northern California wedding venue has several hundred-year-old trees, multiple event spaces, and working outdoor fireplaces. This beautiful country estate was the perfect setting for Cory and Ross's casual rustic wedding. If you know the area you're getting married in has mosquitos or pesky bugs, leave bug spray out for your guests as Cory and Ross did. You could also offer some remedy spray as well, like After Bite.
As you read on, you will see so many great vintage details in the decor, including the giant lighted LOVE sign. Most of the items are from Blossom Farm Vintage Rentals. A specialty rental company that rents vintage , modern, boho and rustic rentals to Northern California. So many good things that we know you will love.
To save money on your bar tab, offer your guests your favorite signature cocktails alongside wine and beer. When selecting your signature cocktails, try to choose cocktails with 4 or fewer ingredients.
Cory chose a Whiskey Cocktail, which generally only has a few ingredients and is easy to make. One of our favorites is the Old Fashioned. An easy cocktail with only 3 ingredients.
Old Fashioned Cocktail Recipe
1 Sugar Cube
2 dashes Angostura orange bitters
2 ounces bourbon
Combine sugar and bitters in the bottom of a glass until the sugar dissolves, fill the glass with ice, add whiskey, and stir to combine.
Large batch cocktails like Rum Punch are great as well and can also be cost-effective. Ross selected Rum Punch as his signature cocktail. Below is an easy recipe that can be made beforehand.
Easy Rum Punch
1 cup of orange juice
1 cup of pineapple juice
1/4 cup lime juice
1/4 cup rum
1/4 cup dark rum
1/2 cup of grenadine
In a pitcher, combine the juices, the rum, and the grenadine. Stir. Pour into ice-filled glasses and serve.
