Fashion Set the Tone for this Pretty Pastel Backyard Wedding
Painted wildflower details hinted at the wedding's unique setting and set the tone for the pastel color palette.
Mikaela and Erick's backyard wedding at their home was full of California sunshine and moments that celebrated this duo entirely. We love that this pair welcomed family and friends to their home and hosted a celebration of their love without compromising on a moment of time together!
The day started with them getting ready together rather than separately, a new trend we're hoping is here to stay because why not spend as much time together on your wedding day as possible?!
Guests followed a pathway adorned with wildflower-inspired arrangements by North Bloom leading to the ceremony site surrounded by more wildflowers. They kept up the untraditional, yet tender, moments and walked each other down the aisle to their ceremony.
We cannot get over the fact that this creative couple actually DIYed this! On one side, a sign welcomed guests to the wedding, and on the back, was a flower-themed escort display. It has us asking ourselves, are welcome walls the new welcome signs?
The reception was held under a sail tent. The couple added personal touches such as a custom seating chart and welcoming structure designed and made by them. Embracing their relaxed style, they delighted everyone with their favorite comfort food—pizza—adding a casual element to their elevated celebration. Mikaela and Erick's wedding was a true reflection of their love and individuality, leaving cherished memories for themselves and their guests alike.
