From the DIY florals made by the groom's mom and the dance to honor the bride's late father, this wedding is full of sentimental details that seriously melted our hearts! We love how personalized everything is and yet super subtle. The overall design of this wedding is timeless elegance with a pastel color palette and sprinkled throughout are little nods to family, like the tiny gold footprints for their fur babies hidden on their cake. And while it is clear how in love these two are, they truly made their day about two families becoming one. 

Hotel Carmichael was the perfect backdrop for their romantic wedding theme with its ornate chandeliers and gilded accents. SOME SERIOUSLY IMPRESSIVE DIY FLORALS

Kelsea and Dave’s wedding day was romantic, welcoming and so very sentimental. Kelsea and Dave are the kind of couple who love others so very deeply and you could feel that love radiate through the details of their day. They wove the things that mean the most to them throughout their day and the result was a beautifully personal and joyful wedding day! Kelsea and Dave’s wedding day was beautiful in so many ways. The DIY floral centerpieces and bouquets made lovingly by Dave’s mom and the stunning venue were incredible. But the personal touches they added to their big day showed the most beautiful part of all, Kelsea and Dave’s big hearts and love for others. 

FOR THE LOVE OF FUR BABIES 

Kelsea and Dave’s big hearts don’t just extend to their friends and families, but to animals in need as well. And while Kelsea and Dave’s rescue dogs couldn’t attend their wedding, they found some clever ways to include them in the big day. Kelsea added hand-sewn fabric paw prints with the initials of each of their dogs to her Maggie Sottero dress. Signature drinks were named after each pup and tiny, gold paw prints were added to their Simply Patisserie cake in the most elegant way! Kelsea and Dave even made their own photo booth props with their dogs’ faces that were perfect for their photo booth by The Foto Stand. And finally, guests were welcomed to take home a bag of treats for their own pups from a dog treat bar! 

HONORING THE FATHER OF THE BRIDE 

Kelsea knew she wanted an elegant celebration and had always dreamt of chandeliers surrounding her on her wedding day. So, the brand new Hotel Carmichael was the perfect venue. Shimmering pops of pink and blush looked incredible in the soft blue ballroom and gold chandeliers framed the space. Kelsea and Dave were able to share a special first look at the reception space before guests entered and it was a very sweet moment! It was important to Kelsea and Dave to honor Kelsea’s late father. Kelsea carried a pendant with his photo on her bouquet as she walked down the aisle. And instead of skipping the father-daughter dance, Kelsea and Dave welcomed all guests to dance with them to Kelsea’s dad’s favorite song! The dance floor was full and everyone was smiling ear to ear. It was a beautiful way to celebrate Kelsea’s late father and start the party off on a high note! 

WORDS OF WISDOM FROM THE BRIDE 

"While planning our wedding, so many people told me the same advice over and over, 'Take time to enjoy the day because it goes by so fast!' While this is such a good piece of advice (and so true), my advice for future brides would be to enjoy the PROCESS and to remember that everything WILL WORK OUT! I panicked so much during the wedding planning process about things not working out the way I had envisioned and the added anxiety interfered with me being able to enjoy the planning process as much as I would have liked to. So, future brides-to-be, take a deep breath and know that everything WILL work out, so remember to enjoy the journey to your wedding day!"
