This wedding just makes us happy! From the easy going flow of the day to the bride's heartfelt choice in her wedding dresses. We especially love the bright and cheery flower arrangements; we can't help but smile at this bright bright sunflower wedding day. Overall we LOVE the entire day!
Designed by the bride and her friends you can see all of their DIY work, captured by Rachael Osborn Photography, when you visit the full gallery here.
I decided when I was younger (and nowhere near getting married) that I wanted to wear my mother's wedding dress - with a few alterations and minus the puffy '80's prom sleeves.
However, I do wish I had taken the time to try on some other dresses and had that special moment when I knew THIS was the dress. I can be an indecisive person, so ultimately I'm happy with my final decision - I didn't try on a single wedding dress and I felt my dress was a "timeless classic."
We are big fans of Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong. I wanted to walk down the aisle to the trumpet intro of Louis Armstrong's "La Vie En Rose." I had people telling me I should go with something more religious, but I was determined to walk down to that song. Hearing it now still makes me smile. It was perfect!
My husband and I were having so much fun having all our family and close friends in one place, that we never really let ourselves have that over-the-top send-off moment. We stayed later than a married couple normally would to chat with our family/friends and help clean up. Looking back, I wish we'd had one of those beautiful "sparkler send-offs" or something extravagant.
Gotta love Abigail and Micah's fun swing on custom beer labels! Stevens Point Brewery is a brewery near the Grooms hometown, but rather then debate the best selection of beer for the big day they had custom wedding labels attached to bottles of Root Beer! So fun and tasty! Plus all the groomsmen received Stevens Point Steins!
Also - Kind of silly, but ask the caterers or a personal attendant to set aside a take-out box with an extra meal or a piece of cake for each of you to take with you!
We decided we were not going to cut corner on our cakes - they were amazing! We had close to 8 different types of delicious cakes served from a local baker, but we were so engrossed in the fun of it all, neither of us had a chance to have a piece of cake.
