Joriana and I are not sure what it was about Priscilla and Bob's wedding that had us dripping with emotion...;>} Maybe it was how much love we felt from family and friends who came from as far away as Alaska and Puerto Rico and went out of their way for Priscilla and Bob for even the littlest things. It was clear for all to see that this couple are dearly loved.
Hugs and smiles, laughter and tears, applause -- we seemed to coast through the day from one emotion to the next -- and it all felt right, just right. Extra special about this wedding for us was the Air Force influence felt in the dress blues and the punctual and helpful groomsmen -- and the bridesmaids were longtime friends and family of Priscilla and Bob's and were just the sweetest! Being able to photograph in the Tuskegee Room was a treat, and we really fell in love with the 40's feel at this wedding -- from the ambiance of the venue, through the cocktail music and then the unique live performances. Priscilla and Bob have a multi-talented set of friends with a theatrical background who gave superb live performances -- the bride even sang "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" while her new hubby bugled away...sooooo kewl.
But the highlight of the evening for us was when Phil and Heather sang "Come What May" from Moulin Rouge. That song is not only one of our favorites, but the words fit Bob and Priscilla. They have that timeless love, the one that is comfortable like your favorite shoes, but still full of that lust for life that keeps your days fresh with promise. We constantly pinch ourselves that we get to have what we feel is the perfect profession -- we have the kewlest clients who honor us by including us with those they love the most in the world on the most wonderful of days, and we get to share their love, their laughter -- and we often share the tears -- as we witness the start of their new family. Priscilla and Bob gave us what we feel is one of the highest honors from our clients -- they seated us at a table with their guests and we were given a plated meal. It means so very much to us to be treated this way. Thank you so very much for being so kind to us.
Priscilla and Bob, may your love always be sweet and your days be filled with laughter and the joy of a love freely given Come What May.
