Amanda and John pulled out all the stops to make their wedding day both memorable and glamorous. Their black-tie affair at the Epping Forest Yacht Club in Jacksonville, Florida had a few rainy moments, but that didn’t stop their beautiful outdoor ceremony from taking place with scattered rose petals and crystal Chiavari chairs.
The bride’s beaded Hayley Paige gown totally stole the show with an added twist, a tulle cape that doubled as a veil. Complete with a pair of Jimmy Choo’s and a bold red lip, we love her fashion-forward bridal look. Oh, and just wait till you see her custom painted leather jacket! From Lisa Silva Photogtaphy: Amanda and John are a sweet and stylish couple who had one of the most beautiful weddings that I've ever photographed. This glamorous black tie affair at Epping Forest Yacht Club in Jacksonville, Florida was both sophisticated and fun with so many personalized details carefully woven into the day.
Amanda chose a very bold and glamorous bridal look and worked with some amazing artists and designers to bring her vision to life. She had a tulle cape added to her beaded Hayley Paige stunner that looked almost like angel wings and Amanda looked like a queen with her crystal headpiece from Kleinfeld Bridal and bright red lips. The bridesmaids and flower girls wore all different BHDLN gowns and the bridesmen (as well as John and the groomsmen) were dressed by The Black Tux.
For the ceremony, Amanda had the venue's plants replaced with her favorites and brought in a stunning gold glass bookshelf filled with champagne flutes to treat her guests to a "sip and sit" as they arrived. The aisles were lined with rose petals and I loved the crystal chiavari chairs. There was rain throughout the day but, the skies parted at the perfect moment and a rainbow appeared over the ceremony site just in time for Amanda to walk down the aisle.
The reception decor's mood was romantic with hundreds of red rose petals, candles, raised floral centerpieces, greenery chandeliers, and a wall of greenery to serve as a backdrop for the wedding cake. After dinner, Amanda changed into a couture bridal jumpsuit that she commissioned from Argie Mirta. She paired it with a black leather jacket from Theory that was hand painted by artist, Grant Thornton. I absolutely loved this look and it was perfectly reflective of the true fashionista that Amanda is. Amanda and John's family and friends danced the night away and their love and joyous energy was incredible to experience. I am truly honored to have been given the privilege to photograph this wedding.
From the bride: My advice, as generic as this might be in to be calm and REALLY enjoy your day. It freaked everyone out that was around me all morning and afternoon with how cool, calm, and collect I was, but I made a promise to myself the week my husband and I were flying to Florida that I was going to enjoy this last week and if I can fix something I will, If I can’t then let my wedding planner handle it. Best decision I ever made!
