With a focus on intention and authenticity, Marissa and Jeff had no issue capturing the eclectic, bohemian ambience that they were aiming for. This enchanting day captured by Kasey Powell Weddings took place at the stunning destination of Elizabethan Gardens located in Manteo, North Carolina. The bride and groom wanted their big day, planned with the assistance of IDOOBX, to feel grounded in the lavish nature that surrounded them.
The ceremony, for example, featured intention stones, where guests were invited to select a gem of their choosing to infuse the couple’s marriage with good intent. As the evening flowed into the reception, the tablescapes displayed colors of rich earth tones and organic florals. The night ended with heartfelt speeches and a family-centered celebration. We promise you'll want to keep scrolling to hear even more about how the details of this incredible day came together!
Marissa and Jeff's day was inspired by simple intimacy and deep connection. Jeff and Marissa are both very spiritual people, so they wanted to feel rooted in nature, authentic, and connected to the earth. One of Marisa's favorite memories from the day was their first look. She and Jeff read their vows, then spent that time together walking through the gardens and soaking in the serenity of those quiet moments before becoming husband and wife. Despite a few nerves, the second she laid her eyes on Jeff, it put Marissa at ease. The photos Kasey Powell captured during their first look are now some of the bride's most cherished possessions.
To create a luxurious fall floral design, Marissa and Jeff's wedding had a gorgeous coastal meets fall feel. This was brought to life by IDOOBX through the use of grapewood branches, amber vases, seasonal blooms, pampas grass, mini white pumpkins and a gold metallic touch that embraced their terracotta and peach color palette. The bride's sister created the place cards for the reception, which were handwritten on individual pieces of sea glass.
Because their wedding was at the end of October, they thought it would be fun to put together Halloween-themed goodie bags with activities for the kids. They also featured a cookie table, where the cookies were wrapped up in to-go bags with personalized stickers of their dog, Enzo. Having this table was a thoughtful addition for the children invited, and also created a meaningful and fun memory for the couple!

No wedding, of course, is complete without a delicious dessert option. Marissa and Jeff's cake by Almost Heaven Bakery was almond with raspberry filling and almond buttercream. The cupcakes were Funfetti, Strawberry, and Triple chocolate chunk - a flavor for everyone! They also had chocolate covered cherries and chocolate covered strawberries as a sweet addition to the dessert table.
"Be present. If you find yourself getting overwhelmed with the minute details, remember that the only thing that truly matters is making sure your day feels authentic to you and your partner. Ground yourself in every moment, because the day goes by in the blink of an eye. Really try to fully receive the love your guests want to give you, and soak in the emotion of the day as much as possible."
