After looking all over Southern California for the perfect Spanish-inspired venue, Savannah and Louis found their dream venue in Historic Cree Estate in the heart of Palm Springs. With families traveling in from all over the world, as well as from the East Coast, they thought a destination wedding weekend would be the perfect way to celebrate their love with their combined families! Designed and planned by Taylor Decker Events, this Palm Springs wedding hits all the right notes from vibrant colors, layered textures, and desert-inspired details.
The couple got engaged in the middle of Zion National Park, so being the desert-lovers that they are, they wanted to lean into all the Southwestern notes. This including using authentic, hand-painted tiles as table numbers, authentic cow hides, and desert-inspired florals by Sacred Romance Floral, including cacti and pampas grass. Even Savannah's bridesmaids' dresses from Baltic Born and Azazie were inspired by desert sunset and twilight hues!
This epic desert venue now has an all-inclusive wedding package!

Bride Savannah shared, "We wanted our wedding to reflect who we are as a couple, with the aesthetic, the energy, and overall vibe. The bohemian aesthetic created a cozy environment that made our family and friends feel welcomed, while the southwestern touches made it fun and youthful, reminding us of when we first met in New Mexico!" Darian Shantay Photography captured this ideal vibe perfectly!
While guests love mixing and mingling during cocktail hour, a custom monogrammed corn hole set is the perfect way to provide just the right level of activity for those who want a little something to do. They're also perfect to repurpose later in the evening for those who need a break from all of the dancing. The best part? They are super easy to DIY!
Some other beautiful yet laid back details from this special day included taco truck catering from The Lime Truck and crafted cocktails by The Boundless Bar. While they didn’t expect usually sunny Palm Springs to experience a terrible storm, the winter tents with warm lighting added an element of surprise and coziness to a large outdoor venue like The Cree. For the highlight of the evening, however, everyone jumped in the pool at the estate with their clothes on to end the night with a bang!
