Tina and Stephen wanted a small intimate wedding with their immediate family and closest friends, so naturally they wanted to create things that were handmade and represented the two of them.
With the help of her family, friends, and of course a little help from our favorite Etsy, Tina pulled off her deco rose and chocolate brown beautifully. You can see the entire wedding in the full gallery here. All captured by Diana Maire Photography.
On The Wedding Venue:BoaVentura De Caires Winery was the perfect venue to fit my theme of being rustic and chic. It has so many lovely details such as a chicken coop with actual chickens and roosters (which were ironically crowing cock-a-doodle-doo during the ceremony), a vintage claw-foot bathtub (that was used as a cooler for drinks), a bocce ball court, a red barn (that was used as a dancing stage) vineyards and a tasting room as the venue makes their own wine.
Besides assuring everyone would have a good time, I wanted guests hydrated & cool. The wedding was held in Livermore, Tri-Valley, which is known for its hot and dry summers. Parasols, fans and umbrellas were available. Towards the end of the reception, an ice cream truck arrived which provided not only treats but also a sense of nostalagia. Tickets were used to redeem the treat, which were attached to the homemade granola favors.
From The Bride On The Decor And Flowers:My flowers turned out beautifully. They were purchased from a local warehouse and assembled with help from family and friends. The most touching moment was when my three pregnant friends went from house to house searching for hydrangeas. It turned out I did not order enough blooms and it was too late to go back to the flower warehouse.
My friends kindly asked the owners if it was ok to gather a few and soon enough an entire neighborhood was wiped out of hydrangeas! The lovely bouquets were put together by a friend. She was also pregnant and it was uncertain if she would be able to make the bouquets as well as attend the wedding. Her due date was only a few days shy from the wedding date. It turned out she attended the wedding and delivered shortly after the reception!
