Despite almost having to cancel the wedding the day before due to COVID, this beautiful rooftop wedding came together exactly as planned, thanks to an amazing team of wedding professionals that was ready for anything! The bride wore a stunning lace-trimmed mermaid gown with an epic train and her bridesmaids rocked mix and match blush bridesmaids' dresses that ranged from champagne to rose. The groom kept it classic with a fitted black suit and black bowtie, but he had an unexpected accessory that only made an appearance once the lights went off at the reception. From the ceremony, officiated by the sisters of the bride and groom, to the glow-in-the-dark dance party, this wedding was full of special touches that made every moment unique to this couple's love story.
From having to juggle COVID testing for the couple and the guests to prepping the rooftop ceremony for a particularly windy day, Intimate Occasions By Ikiya had their hands full, but you'd never know it. They expertly pulled off this picture-perfect rooftop wedding at The Bridgepoint and made it look easy. From the romantic, whimsical bouquets to the crawling floral installations on the custom chuppah, these arrangements by Olivia Howard Designs are all showstoppers. It is so clear from these photos by Megan And Kenneth that the couple and their guests enjoyed every minute of their special day! Sky Cinema Films was also there to get every dance move from their "crazy hour" on film. A wedding with a view will always be in style! Stacy and Daniel wanted a venue with a beautiful skyline view and found it at The Bridgepoint in Brooklyn. The blank slate venue gave them the beautiful view and creative freedom for their décor. Stacy loved the idea of a blush color palette and Daniel comes from a Jewish background, so the couple incorporated touches of Daniel's Jewish culture into their wedding starting with a gorgeous chuppah for their ceremony layered with stunning greenery and blush florals by Olivia Howard Designs. "Stacy and Daniel have such beautiful hearts. You can feel their joy when they walk into the room. We loved capturing their chemistry from the first look to their send-off. It was such an amazing night celebrating their love with their amazing family and friends.", said Sky Cinema Films.
The day before their wedding, Stacy had gotten a false positive COVID test, so imagine the panic in both her and Daniel as they frantically thought about having to postpone their wedding. Luckily, a second COVID test proved Stacy was negative and the show could go on! This made the wedding even more meaningful, knowing that it could have so easily not been able to happen. Stacy had a beautiful morning with her bridesmaids, her mother, and Daniel's mother as they went to Priv Downtown Brooklyn to get their hair and makeup done. Stacy got dressed in her beautiful Essence of Australia dress from Kleinfield Bridal and had a super cute first look with her bridesmaids where photographers Megan And Kenneth got the great reactions you see here! Daniel hung with his groomsmen and his father before getting dressed in his Calvin Klein suit for the first look with his bride.
More gorgeous details came through in their welcome table, created by Intimate Occasions By Ikiya and Olivia Howard Designs, which included their engagement photos, a sparkler setup, a sign for their hashtag #ForeverFleish, and a super cute Jenga guestbook! For their ceremony, they had a customized unity candle set that had each taper candle with their names and a unity candle with their last name embroidered in gold. Stacy’s sister, Stephanie, and Daniel’s sister, Emily, were the officiants, adding an extra feel-good memory for their ceremony. Another nod to Daniel's Jewish culture was at the end of their ceremony, where Daniel stepped on a lightbulb wrapped in a napkin and their guests yelled, "Mazel Tov!" followed by an amazing petal toss! LCI Caterers provided delicious hors d'oeuvres for cocktail hour while they and Intimate Occasions By Ikiya flipped the ceremony space for reception. Wedding tip–rooftop weddings tend to be windier than regular outdoor weddings which can hold up your setup time in the timeline, so prep as many items as you can beforehand or have a separate set-up area where the wind won’t affect the prep.
Stacy and Daniel's reception started off with a bang as their wedding party was introduced, and brought the ENERGY that was beautifully captured by Sky Cinema Films! Yet another nod to Daniel's culture, they performed the Horah which contains two traditional dances performed at Jewish weddings–The Hava Nagila, where guests hold hands to form two circles within each other and each circle runs in opposite directions, and Siman Tov, where guests lift up the bride and groom in chairs. The amazing photos caught by Megan and Kenneth are priceless! After some beautiful toasts from their guests, Stacy and Dan cut their funfetti cake from The Milk Bar, and then the fun really started!
Stacy and Daniel had a few fun surprises for their reception including a choreographed first dance, and a super fun La Hora Loca which translates to “Crazy Hour”. They had glow flower necklaces for the wedding party, bubble guns, and a light-up bouquet for the bouquet toss while Daniel sported the coolest pair of glow-in-the-dark suspenders! La Hora Loca went right into an awesome sparkler session (who doesn't love a good sparkler moment?!) and it wouldn't really be a great ending to a great night without some late-night pizza. With an awesome vendor team behind them, these two had a wedding that their guests will be raving about for years!
