Caitlyn, a cardiac ICU nurse, and Irvin, a police officer, met when a mutual friend introduced them at a fundraiser for a wounded police officer. Soon after, they knew that this was "it," and before long they were planning their modern, yet earthy and whimsical wedding. After their original destination wedding in Mexico was canceled once due to COVID, and a second time when Irvin was deployed for a year with the military, the couple opted for an intimate backyard wedding. The bride and groom hadn't given up the idea of their dream wedding, however, and once everything had settled down, they planned a destination vow renewal with the help of Tie the Knot Santorini at Cavo Ventus Luxury Villa on the beautiful island of Santorini.
After initially finding the perfect dress for her destination wedding in Mexico, Caitlyn had to pivot when it just didn't feel quite so perfect for saying "I do" in Santorini. She went back to the drawing board and found her perfect dress: A white, sparkly, fit and flare dress with pearl accents. This perfect dress ultimately became her reception dress! For the ceremony, she donned her original wedding dress - a fit and flare, matte lace dress with a champagne underlay - altered to also include a beautiful overlay skirt.
One of the most memorable moments of the wedding for Caitlyn and Irvin was seeing each other for the first time when walking down their stunning ombre blue and white wedding aisle created by Bloom de Fleur Santorini. Music became an important part of their ceremony with the processional being "I Get to Love You" by Ruelle and the recessional being "I Came Here for Love" by Sigala and Elle Eyre. Both songs were performed on violin by Anna Edelweiss.

Perhaps the most memorable part of the wedding day for both the couple and their guests was when Irvin was pouring the champagne for the champagne tower, and the whole thing fell to pieces. In true Caitlyn and Irvin fashion, though, they rolled with the punches, and it became a fond memory thanks to Phosart Photography and Cinematography capturing the entire moment on camera!
The couple leaned into the vow renewal theme and made their wedding hashtag #torrestakestwo, while also writing on their cake "Just Married... AGAIN." They also incorporated a fun neon sign that said, "Finally We Do."
"My advice for future couples when planning their wedding would be to make decisions based off what makes them happy. It is hard to please everyone, and at the end of the day, the people that are most important are the couple themselves. The people that truly love and care about the couple will show up and celebrate them no matter what. That's especially important when having a destination wedding. Also - get yourself an amazing wedding planner!!"
