From The Bride:Honestly, and I know this is not the answer you are looking for, I wouldn't have changed a single thing. I was so worried in the weeks and days prior to our wedding that something would go wrong or I would be too anxious and stressed to enjoy the day. If I could go back in time I would relax in the weeks leading up to our wedding. Our wedding was the most fun I have had EVER.
What I know I couldn't have done without is all of the help I had leading up to the weeding. So many friends and family went above and beyond to make the day perfect for Tim and I. My sister hand dipped dyed the ombre linen table runners and hand calligraphed the escort cards.
My best friend Max designed my all my wedding stationary and hand illustrated my wedding contract/guest book. My parents helped with numerous DIYs including staining the barnwood boxes the centerpieces were in. My mom and dad brought back pashminas for each of our female guest form a recent deployment to Manama, Bahrain. pashmina |pəSHˈmēnə| noun: fine-quality material made from goat's wool
My aunt scanned over 500 photos from Tim and my childhood for a slideshow that played on an ipad during the reception. Another aunt drove to the florist to pick up the flowers the morning of the wedding. I was one of those bride who bite off more than she could chew in the DIY department. Many of the projects would have been disastrous if I hadn't so much exceptional help.
