Read on to hear form Nici, the bride as shares with us intimate details on her Colorado wedding.
Why Colorado? Getting married in Colorado was a no-brainer for us. We both were born and raised in Colorado and we began our relationship in Golden, Colorado when we attended school at the Colorado School of Mines.
After we moved away for work, we always knew that we wanted to have the mountains as our back drop for our special day. When we saw Blackstone Rivers Ranch for the first time, we knew immediately that it was the perfect location for our wedding. This venue embodied everything we wanted; the mountains, the forest, an Aspen Grove, and the calming stream behind the ceremony site. This was a sponsored post.
Why we chose our vendors? When we were looking for people to help plan our special day, we knew that a wedding planner was a must as we were planning our wedding from afar. After looking through and speaking to many wonderful planners in Denver, we immediately had a connection with the wonderful women at Brindle + Oak.
Their welcoming and loving personalities plus their attention to detail and the knowledge of the wedding scene in Colorado made them a perfect match for us. Megan Grose helped ease our anxiety and guided us through the entire process without any issue and truly brought our vision to life. The day couldn't have been possible without the Brindle + Oak team, we cannot speak highly enough of them!
We chose Adam Houseman as our photographer for a multitude of reasons. First of all, his photography skills are incredible. Seeing samples of other work he had done made us excited at the prospect of working with him. After speaking with him over the phone, we knew he was the photographer for us. His relaxed attitude, flexible mindset, and willingness to mold his photography to the vision of the couple made him the perfect photographer. At no point in the conversations with Adam did we feel pressured to work with him or to conform to his ideas. He put us first and wanted to do whatever he could to help us with our day. He had the vision to capture the day as it naturally progressed and captured the emotions of the day perfectly. He truly was the best photographer that we could have dreamed to work with!
All of our other vendors were specific recommendations from Megan and matched with our vision for the wedding. In talking with each company, we felt a connection very quickly and knew that they were there to help make our day exactly what we had envisioned. Each vendor we worked with made us feel relaxed and we never had to stress about anything on our big day!
Our favorite part of the day was taking photos at the top of Mt. Evans. This was just one example of Adam and Megan making sure that the day was everything we wanted by fitting in time for us to drive 30 minutes to the top of a mountain to get the perfect Colorado photos. Adam was gracious enough to drive us and he got to show off his Nascar skills on the skinny mountain roads! The drive up to the top was gorgeous and where we hiked to was even more beautiful. The funniest part was that we got to experience all of Colorado's seasons in the short time we were up there; it was raining when we parked, quickly turned to snow, and then turned back to summer all within a matter of minutes. We would've never thought we would experience snow on our August wedding day! We also got to experience a true
