the vibe: historic charm
Val and David wanted their wedding to feel intimate and authentic. From nixing bridal parties to finding a private, intimate venue in Washington, DC, they focused on chic fashion and minimalist details to let their love and stunning venue speak for themselves. The breathtaking Meridian House, featuring French architectural design and a stunning garden, inspired their aesthetic for the day. Everything about their day was infused with elegance and historical charm and we just can't get over it!
Floral and Bloom, the visionaries behind the arch from the ceremony, crafted low-profile rose arrangements that graced the center of each table. We love how they introduced blush into the flowers for the reception to incorporate the home's pastel interior.
the invitations
In keeping with the theme of classic elegance, the understated invitations featured the couple's monogram framed by two delicate silver bands. This is your reminder that your invitations don't have to be over-the-top to look luxurious.
getting ready
In an elegant swiss dot lace robe, Val lounged in her bridal suite as she prepared for the big day. Her hair, which she wore sleek in the front with voluminous waves in the back, paired with a fierce cat eye, evoked 60s femme energy.
the fashion
Val stunned in a bright white structured silk gown with tulle off-the-shoulder draping. She accessorized the look with a four-strand pearl choker, matching earrings, and a chapel-length veil for the ceremony. David too went timeless with his wedding day ensemble, opting for a classic black tuxedo, complete with black bow tie.
the cake
The two cut into a minimalist three-tier buttercream cake with fresh roses that echoed the design of the floral arch from the ceremony.
