From Rebecca Chan Weddings & Events: Katherine and Justin's Toronto wedding was a whimsical hot air balloon and peaches inspired celebration, rich in beautiful details.
The bride wore a beautiful blush Lazaro Gown, accented by nude Ron White shoes. Each of the bride's three bridesmaids had a bouquet composed of one specific flower in the colour scheme (yellow dahlias, peach dahlias and peach roses). The bride's bouquet was made of flowers from all three of the bridesmaids bouquets.
The church was decorated with garland down the aisles, and a full floral arrangement at the front to frame them. An open suitcase of tissue paper was available in case of tears.
Katherine and Justin wanted a light-hearted wedding to match with their closest family and friends. Guests were given a map of downtown and directions to the reception venue, as well as a token for a free ice cream from the ice cream truck.
From the Bride: Allow LOTS of buffer time in the schedule. I added at least an extra 30 mins to all scheduled events. This made the day a lot less hectic, so that I wasn't racing frantically from place to place.
This also meant that all scheduled events ran on time, which was something that our guests really appreciated and commented on afterwards. The flexibility in our time also allowed our photographer to take some spontaneous, extra-special photographs for us at unplanned locations.
At the reception venue, Arcadian Court, guests were welcomed by a lush garland wrapped vignette of a vintage bike full of flowers, accented with a peach basket and welcome sign.
We dreamed big with this couple to create centrepieces they had never seen before. We collaborated with Fete Floral to create the hot air balloon centrepieces made with a lush floral basket, and custom made balloons and spokes.
The Wedding Cake Shoppe created the gradually naked ombre wedding cake with custom cake topper was made to be an exact match of the bride's Lazaro Gown and groom's Garrison Bespoke suit.
Chalk signs designed by Sarah Kim Lettering and Design were found at various other locations at the reception venue, including the receiving table, cake table and flip flop box for dancing.
