Cher and Russ enjoy the beach to no end. It's calmness, fun, and never-ending beauty made for the perfect backdrop to their beautiful love. They chose Seaside Scripps forum in La Jolla with it's architectural elegance and it's view overlooking the rolling La Jolla ocean as the perfect spot.
They wanted family and friends to feel calm, relaxed, and to have the night of their lives. Together, this beautiful pink beach wedding reflects tenderness, authenticity, and love! See more of it in the full gallery here, photographed by Natalie Bray Photography.
Cherilyn bought each bridesmaid a hand painted canvas tote from Pressed Cotton saying "oh happy day" (perfect montra for the day) with a soft robe to enjoy getting ready in style. She hand painted each bridesmaid a modern hanger to keep a momento of the day with their dress. Plus, she wrote each one a personalized hand written note. Incredibly thoughtful.
Cherilyn could not choose just 1 dress, so she had her ceremony dress custom made and it fit her beautifully. Plus, she found a stunning reception dress from Casablanca to add sparkle during those fun dance sessions. Her gorgeous Mori Lee bridesmaids dresses did not disappoint and were chosen with each lady having a different style to capture their unique personalities while still staying true to the color scheme of blush, cream, and navy. Russ wore a classic black tux and his groomsmen donned dark navy suits to encapsulate the entire color scheme.
Cherilyn's stunning look was completed with a elegant side swept hairstyle by awesome Kat Black and timeless makeup by MakeUp by Dorie. She placed her absolutely amazing Kate Spade heels on and oh my goodness! What a gorgeous bride! Who doesn't love a little Kate Spade. Plus, her bouquet from Classic Blooms filled with white anemones, pink garden roses, and white roses made for a breathtaking compliment to her already stunning look.
Cherilyn and Russ handmade many of the details for this celebration, the jenga set, the monkey knots on the tables, the Mr. and Mrs. signs on back of chairs, and the streamers guests waved at the end of the ceremony. Their hearts truly are in each and every detail. The beach theme carried through the ceremony decor of large vessels full of candles shimmering in the sunlight and palm trees rustling with ocean waves humming as they committed their lives to each other.
At the reception guests were greeted with beachwood and pink garden rose centerpieces in the glistening candle light. Alexa of Salt Creative Co. helped coordinate the day and the brides vision flawlessly.See the day in motion in the video below, filmed by Omnistories.
