The “Finest” tropical beach wedding in the Dominican Republic
Haley and Blake knew from the start that they loved adventure and wanted to have a destination wedding. They opted to do their engagement photos at the Wichita Mountains in Lawton, Oklahoma and chose to have their wedding at a beach in beautiful Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Bree Smith Photography was on hand every step of the way to capture each and every tropical moment of this gorgeous beach wedding at Finest Punta Cana.
A bold, tropical color scheme
The couple's invitations made their wedding pop from the very start with a mix of colorful elegance and fun. To complement the color of the envelopes, Haley chose a black and white invitation style with a topical palm leaf design.
The perfect beach wedding hairstyle
Haley opted for a fun party ponytail hairstyle in case it was windy and warm on her wedding day. It made for a breeze of a day with it pulled back so effortlessly. She paired this hairstyle with a soft, yet sultry makeup look that didn’t budge all day. The spa ladies at Finest did not disappoint!
Mix and match dresses in colors and patterns
Haley allowed each of her bridesmaids to choose their own color and pattern for their bridesmaid's dress, which created the perfect mix match theme. This variety created dimension within the photos and allowed for each girl to put their own twist on their outfits. For those who are up in the air about having a colorful palette for their wedding, don’t think - just do!
Styling a casual look for the groom
For the groom and groomsmen, they donned cream suits from The Black Tux with a simple, yet pretty floral boutonnière. They also chose to not wear ties or bowties, which created a more casual beach look finished with brown dress shoes. Blake’s best man helped him get ready for the big day and gave him tons of encouragement throughout!
Using large tropical blooms
Vlady Flowers took Haley's vision for a bold tropical design and executed it flawlessly. From bold shades of orange to bright magenta were woven throughout the bouquet, ceremony arch, and reception centerpieces full of large tropical booms.
Gradient, color-blocked floral centerpieces
The florals for the reception space were color-blocked in a gradient of bold pinks to soft creams and whites. This look created an array of different centerpieces so that each table had their own color and vibe. This trend is slowly making its way through the wedding industry, and we are absolutely here for it!
