Their dog made it on the dance floor at this colorful Cabo wedding
Tom and Carolyn met at summer camp in Colorado when they were 9 years old. They didn't start dating, however, until they were 16 years old and working at that same camp! Tom proposed at home in Seattle by enlisting Carolyn's best friend to surprise her. After getting an unexpected knock on the door, her best friend helped Carolyn get ready before bringing her to her favorite park in Seattle that overlooks the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains. Tom was there with a picnic set up and champagne to celebrate! Keep scrolling to see how their destination wedding in Cabo at Baja Luna came together with the help of Lucky in Love and captured on camera by Anna Gomes Photo.
Cabo color palette = colorful and fun
The couple always knew they wanted their wedding in Cabo to be colorful and fun. Because of this, Carolyn wore a wedding dress with a floral pattern on it that was then incorporated into their invitations and signage. These were designed by Carolyn herself, as she is a graphic designer!
11:11 inspired details
The bride and groom opted to get married on 11/11 to symbolize their daily ritual of texting each other at 11:11 to let the other know they are thinking of them. Carolyn even had 11:11 embroidered in blue on the lining of her wedding dress and on Tom's shift sleeve. The cufflinks she gifted to Tom the day of also were engraved with this special 11:11 time.
Destination wedding "must" - A planner!
Despite the stress that can come with planning a destination wedding and not being able to see everything being prepared in person, Carolyn put her trust in Lucky in Love and the day turned out exactly how they wanted!
Style: Colorful, whimsical, woodsy
The colorful vibes carried through the couple's ceremony with jewel-toned flower arrangements and whimsical, woodsy asymmetrical columns at the altar.

Seating chart: Contemporary and minimalist
A contemporary wooden wall with rounded shelves created a visually balanced and complementary seating chart for the couple to display the table assignments. Carolyn ensured continuity of font and design so that the structure blended seamlessly into the rest of the decor.
Visual surprise: Two-tone linens
Reds, oranges, and pinks took center stage set against a natural wood backdrop complete with plenty of string lights to set the tone as the sun went down. The 70's-inspired font used for the table numbers continued that airy, whimsical trend, while two-tone napkins provided a fun visual surprise.
On trend: Beer burro
One of the most memorable parts of the cocktail hour was a beer burro by the pool for guests to pet and take pictures with.
Dog on the dance floor
The couple wanted their dog Nessie incorporated in the big day, so Carolyn made a little illustration of her to put on the bar menu. They also made a cardboard cutout of her that ended up making its way onto the dance floor by the end of the night!
Cake details: Ombre roses
The wedding cake featured an ombre set of roses with delicate floral detailing that created texture and interest as it wound down the two tiers.
