Growing with your guest list
When it finally came time to plan our wedding, we knew we wanted an intimate celebration surrounded by our nearest and dearest. The trouble with that is we both come from very large families and grew up in a small town with a very close community. As the guest list grew larger and larger, we knew a small wedding was out of the question. The solution was to create an entirely from scratch backyard wedding overflowing with personal details that reflected our love and personalities.
Family Ties
My husband's brother, Chad Mathis of the Green Eyed Baker not only designed and created our beautiful wedding cake, pies and macaroons, but it was also his handiwork that painted all of our signs for the big day. My mom, mother-in-law and sisters spent many hours helping me create all the DIY elements and our amazing wedding party was up late the night before helping us finalize every last detail.
