Ashley and Anthony's Santa Barbara greenhouse wedding was basic, and we mean as the highest of compliments. Deconstructing things and taking them back to the basics is how you find a way to simplify and elevate a beautifully classic wedding day. A flor color palette of simple white flowers with exciting and trendy greenery gave the day a fresh and effortless vibe. The wedding party looks hella smart in crisp tuxedos and muted champagne and blush gowns that all brought a sense of timeless high-class style to a modern greenhouse reception space.
Really, you won't want to miss out on a single moment from this fabulous wedding day. We have every last photo from David Mendoza for you to peruse in our full gallery.
Ashley and Anthony had a modern romantic wedding in Santa Barbara, California. Their love of adventure and the outdoors inspired their wedding, which took place on an organic farm with a private greenhouse. Ashley wore a beautiful, modern beaded gown by Jane Hill, and carried a clutch by Kayu. Her bouquet was made with white garden roses, ranunculus, anthurium, and other seasonal blooms. Her papa’s pin was affixed to the bouquet as her “something old,” and her grandmother’s handkerchief was wrapped around the bouquet stems as her “something borrowed.”
Guests arrived at the property on vintage school buses and were transported to the ocean bluffs, where Ashley and Anthony said their vows overlooking the ocean. The arch was built from reclaimed wood from the venue and was adorned with bright greenery and monochromatic, textured white blooms. After they said their vows, guests were shuttled to a tropical garden greenhouse for cocktails and appetizers, followed by a candle-lit dinner at long feasting tables in the reception greenhouse.
In the beginning stages of design, Ashley and Anthony loved long feasting tables with greenery garlands. In order to modernize and elevate the design, they worked closely with their designer, Tyler Speier, to “lift” the garlands off the table. Each of the three 50’ Tables has a 50’ hanging arrangement created with greenery, dried lunaria, and seasonal white blooms to give a dramatic focus to the reception space.
Ashley and Anthony dined at a vintage table as their sweetheart table, with floral accents and their own hanging arrangement to frame the space. Guests enjoyed a multi-course meal and then danced the night away as the twinkle lights reflected off the greenhouse ceiling. It was a magical evening!
