Because we are addicted to anything gold and pink, our next wedding is pretty much a dream come true. With gold mason jars, some yummy pink peonies and a free wedding printable we are in wedding heaven. We know you will be too once you scroll down and see their entire wedding.
All held at The Windmill Winery, which really was the perfect setting for Jordan and Marci to say "I Do"! You really must view more of this Arizona pink and gold wedding in the full gallery here, all beautifully captured by Brushfire Photography.
From the Bride:
I wanted a wedding that was representative of both Jordan and I, that made guests feel comfortable and at ease. Something beautifully whimsical with lots of pastel flowers and gold accents, but slightly carefree.
The most memorable part of the ceremony was riding in the horse-drawn carriage immediately after we said "I do." We were both so much a part of the moment that neither of us could hardly speak. I can't even describe the feeling I had when all he could say was, "You are so beautiful." It truly was like a fairytale.
I spent the year before searching for the awesome vintage gold mirrors and other accents. Jordan hand-cut most of the wooden slabs from an old tree trunk we found in the mountains. My mother and aunt hand made all of the mini-pies, and I designed the mirror timeline and seating arrangement the morning before the wedding.
If I could have changed anything, I would have worn my dress around the house for a test run to see what bothered me or needed attention. During the reception, when there's lots of dancing and hugs, my sleeves kept falling off despite double sided tape. Also, anyone who danced with me would step all over my short train which led to me pulling it up to hold all evening. Both were easy fixes-just not during the wedding.
Jordan and Marci used some of our Free Printables to decorate their wedding reception! They chose the Wedding Chicks Floral Monogram Table Number free printable to label all of their tables as well as the Wedding Chicks Poster Style Wedding Thank You Card free printable at each place setting. Such a great and simple way to stay on budget for their fabulous wedding!
The last part of the reception, Jordan's brother and cousin played an acoustic version of Justin Moore's "Til My Last Day" for our final dance. The whole room was standing and everyone I looked at was crying! It was such a beautiful moment!
Having a vendor that offered an inclusive package was a huge stress relief during planning. For all 125 guests, The Windmill Winery included a wedding coordinator, catering, cake, DJ, separate locations on the property for the ceremony and reception, as well as a bridal cottage and groom's quarters. While planning Jordan and I decided to pick the few things that were most important to us to invest in:
Our incredible photographers, Mike and Brittany of Brushfire Photography. We knew we wanted this day to be as bright in our memory as the day it happened. I also wanted to spend more on my gown and flowers.
We opted to spend less on decor since the winery is such a beautiful place already, so I worked on tons of DIY projects throughout the year prior to make it our own, using free printables fromĀ The Wedding Chicks and coupons for local craft stores, we spent less than $400 on decor.
