An Intimate Autumn Wedding in Washington
Towering pines on the edge of an autumn wood set the stage for this lovely fall wedding. This team managed to create an intimate outdoor ceremony that was laid-back and elegant at the same time. The bride wore a stunning lace gown with an illusion back and her bridesmaids rocked long-sleeve velvet gowns in the prettiest wine shade. We also love the groom's textured gray 3-piece suit and that they decided to keep the groomsmen in matching pants, white shirts, and suspenders for a cool casual look.
The couple loves hosting and had a very distinct vision when it came to their wedding and they put their trust in Fiona Louise Designs to get it just right (and they did!). They found the perfect venue, Norman Farms, whose large outdoor area worked beautifully for the ceremony while the indoor space acted as a blank canvas for the team to design this whimsical reception space. Fiona Louise Designs and Mariko Arakawa created the gorgeous florals that appeared throughout the wedding, featuring tons of greenery and a stunning fall color palette. AN AUTUMN WEDDING
Fall weddings in Washington are always a gamble when it comes to weather, so the miracle of clear skies on this October day was an answer to Hannah and Jacob's prayers. Joined by their closest friends and family members, the two wed in an open-air ceremony at the forest’s edge while the autumn foliage danced in the sun behind them.
A WARM RECEPTION
Everyone who knows Hannah also knows that she delights in hosting beautiful dinners, and the wedding was no exception. The converted studio at Norman Farms was the perfect blank canvas that, with the help of Fiona Louise Designs, became a warm and inviting reception space for their guests, much like the safe places that these two have created for others in their lives. I have said time and again that a wedding should be a reflection of the two people getting married and a celebration of who they are together, so it’s always incredibly touching to see when that manifests in such an obvious way.
