An Elegant and Sweet Traditional Wedding In Greece
Weddings are all about traditions. Passing them down from generation to generation. This next sweet couple from Philadelphia Pennsylvania chose to celebrate their traditional wedding in meaning full place for them. Thessaloniki Greece. A beautiful white and nude color palette was the perfect canvas for their vows and the beginning of their life together.

Eleni and Danny are a lovely couple that traveled all the way from Philadelphia, USA, to get married in Thessaloniki, Greece. I first met Eleni almost a year before her wedding day. Just moments into our first Skype call we both realized that we were and match made in heaven and we pretty much started brainstorming right away.
The style of the wedding was decided pretty early on. We decided to go with an elegant and timeless white wedding, with nude accents and gold details. The goal was to create a romantic and modern fairytale and that is what we did. We picked one of the most beautiful churches in Thessaloniki, were the ceremonies are held outdoors. The beautiful stone chapel was decorated with white fabrics, flower garlands and white chiavari chairs. The guests were welcomed by a beautiful sign with the explanations of the symbols of the Greek Orthodox wedding and were treated with delicious treats from the dessert table. The cake was all a four-tier minimal white one, with a nude silk ribbon around it and a white rose.
That was the feel of the invitation suite as well. A beautiful logo based on the couple’s name’s first letters was the most eminent part of the design of the invitations, that were enveloped in clear paper and sealed with a wax seal stamp.
The Wedding Day
The ceremony was so warm and romantic. The bride arrived in a minimal yet aristocratic Pronovias wedding gown with a simple long veil and gorgeous nude bronze Valentino sandals. Her groom was waiting for her along with their friends and family to walk down the aisle and become husband and wife.
The ceremony was followed by a brief portrait session for the couple around the beautiful stone church. The guests arrived on the rooftop of the new building of Thessaloniki’s Concert Hall, where they found the minimal welcome table with the seating charts. The moment they stepped on the rooftop, they witnessed the beautiful sky of fairy lights over the dance floor.
The reception venue was decorated with white long tables, nude silk runners, white and gold tableware and romantic centerpieces with white and blush seasonal flowers, only to make the couple’s dream come true. Their favors carried their logo in gold foil and the table numbers were decorated with the same nude silk ribbon and a wax seal stamp. Simple met modern. Romantic met elegance. Chic met minimal. And a fairytale was made.
