From Andie Freeman Photography: Catherine and Chris share a love of baseball. One day, they headed out to a baseball game near Atlanta, GA. As they came into the stadium, Catherine noticed that there were people all the field. They were holding up a sign that said, "Will you marry me?" She turned to Chris and said, "Oh look! Someone is getting proposed to!" Slowly, it began to dawn on her that everyone out on the field were actually people that she knew! And then she realized that she was actually the one being proposed to! Of course she said yes.
Catherine and Chris were married on Memorial Day weekend at The Farm at High Shoals. The said their I dos in front of the lake and their reception was held in the beautiful Italian style barn. Of course, their theme had to be baseball. The alter was a home plate, the guests could pick up tissues beside a sign that states, "There's no crying in baseball," and their programs were a lineup.
After the ceremony, Catherine and Chris headed down to the bridge on the venue property where all the lovelocks are locked. This is a tradition at The Farm at High Shoals. Each couple gets an engraved lock with their names and wedding date on it. They lock it onto the bridge, toss one key into the stream, and then keep the other.
From the baseball and Cracker Jack favors, to the seating chart that featured their favorite players jersey numbers, it was a baseball lovers dream. Their Save the Dates were in the shape of a baseball ticket and featured images from their baseball themed engagement session. Their invitations carried along in that theme. Catherine even wore Ked's that had red stitching like a baseball! After dinner, guests danced the night away to 80s band, The Highballs.
