If you are just joining us, we are in Part II of Alia and Josh's touching love story recently featured in the New York Times.
On to the wedding in Calistoga which was planned to perfection by Dream A Little Dream Events. Guests were shuttled to the site in a school bus revamped to look like a pirate ship. Vineyards splayed out beyond the wedding canopy: the late afternoon air was fragrant with the smells of freshly cut grass and blooming lavender. Alia, the bride, in a Grecian-styled Claire Pettibone dress, and Josh, the groom, in a tobacco-colored Dries Van Noten suit.
The Wedding Reception From Alia:
Josh and I wanted to have a big cocktail party for our reception because that's the way we like to entertain. Eat, drink, dance, converse, celebrate, repeated in no particular order many times throughout the night. Some of my favorite elements from the reception were: the flowers - colorful, whimsical, like they were picked from a garden, loose, including different fruits and plants, in small vases with many on each table.
