Yup ... you read that correctly. A wedding planned in secret by the groom. Yes, our bride knew they were getting married, but she was in the dark on all the details. Allowing her groom-to-be along with CL Weddings and Events design the entire day for her. Would you be game for letting someone plan and execute your wedding in secret? If our day turned out like Alysha and Cameron's Byron Bay wedding we surely would be on board.
In case you might be curious, we have also included their budget breakdown, so click the read more tab below to see it all. Before you leave be sure to check out the full gallery to see even more of the surprise wedding day captured by Ryder Evans Photography.
From CL Weddings and Events:The bride is part of the CL Weddings and Events team from Noosa, Australia who left the planning up to her boss and groom to work together so she could worry about the fun stuff and be more surprised on the day, she had no idea what the flowers, cake, ceremony, or reception was going to look like until she walked in, which she said added to the excitement.
The couple wanted the day to be a fun, relaxed weekend for everyone so decided on a mid point along the east coast of NSW (New South Wales) where most guests spent the weekend. A highlight from the day was the bride and grooms vows they wrote and the groom surprising the bride at the reception with them hand written in calligraphy for them to frame and cherish forever.
Lemon Drop:
Yields: 1 cocktail
1 1/2 ounces vodka
3/4 ounce lemon juice
1 teaspoon simple syrup Lemon twist for garnish
1. Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
2. Shake well
3. Strain into a chilled and sugar rimmed cocktail glass
4. Garnish with the lemon twist.
We love the idea of sprinkling poufs around your reception area. Not only will guests love lounging on them, but you can take them home afterwards. Genius ... right?
There are always little things you would do differently or change if you had it all over, but I think the main thing was to have a second shooter at the wedding especially because our wedding was out of town and the parties were getting ready so far away from each other.
