Engaged and looking to do something completely unexpected and fun for your wedding? Consider a secret elopement like this! Hayley and Ryan were secretly eloped down at city hall in San Francisco weeks before they threw their “engagement party”, which turned into their “Surprise, we’re married!” wedding reception.
So how did they do it? They projected their elopement film on a 4-story high building (which you can see below!) and then threw a huge party after to celebrate! How fun is that?! Their chic and funky reception at 620 Jones was a mix of modern signage and custom cocktails. It was a celebration like no other, and we’re so excited to share it all with you. Get a closer look at their amazing party below + in the fully gallery captured by Molly Gilholm Photography and enjoy their cute elopement film from Good Studios after.
From Roxanne McClure Photography: Soooooo my clients did a thing....They eloped, just the two of them late 2019 at city hall in San Francisco, CA. For weeks they keep the whole thing a secret. Next, they throw an epic “engagement party” turn surprise wedding reception bash that is one to remember. When Hayley called me about assisting with planning the event she stated “It’s going to be one huge love-fest of a party! It will be funky, chic and amazing", and that it was!
Friends and family from all over flew-in to SF for what was meant to be an engagement party the night after Hayley presented her dissertation. Yes, she planned a wedding while in med school. Hayley and Ryan shared their news with everyone by projecting their elopement video in a larger than life manner. All kidding aside it was shown on a 4-story high historic building.
There were so many elements of this party that Hayley took under her wing all while getting her doctorate. From neon acrylic signs with the “chemicals of love” to the minimal mini bud vases to the retro color pallet...it was personal and perfect!
