What mattered most to Alison and Michael was to bring their family and friends together, and keeping things focused around the love for them. All the details of the day revolved around that and keeping things focused on the real meaning behind them being there. While also incorporating their personal style, their love for the venues chosen and there clean elegant vibe they love so dearly.
Michael and Alison met in college and their campus was also an arboretum. They knew they wanted to incorporate the outdoors in their ceremony, where they would be surrounded by greens. Cylburn Arboretum served as the perfect backdrop for this element. Complimented by lush pink florals which Alison was so passionate about. The inspiration behind the florals was to keep things full, lush and clean with a little personality. We opted to incorporate various shades of pink for the perfect balance here.
The moon arch they married under kept in line with their love for greenery, yet feeling modern and lush all at once. Allowing the couple to shine and Alison's gorgeous gown to be a focal point. This vibe carried on through the reception at the Dye House.
Cocktail hour was focused around creating a social and comfortable atmosphere for the guests. A custom linen lounge with modern lines for seating, paired with a classic white bar topped with greens for their signature cocktails. The main bar for the evening was a custom marble look with modern white shelving that served as candle lit elevation in the space.
Guests found their way into the space by a large 7-foot tall grey board with names handwritten in white ink. A clean yet full garland accented with, of course, a pop of pink for personality. The dining room was rich in candlelight, grey, modern whites, and greenery. Each place setting was a custom made just for the bride and groom, sheer white charger paired with a square menu card, sleepless glassware, matte silver flatware, and a beautiful marble place card. We carried on the marble look of the bar through the place settings and table numbers. The centerpieces were notably all pink and green, keeping things clean and elegant in the space allowing the character of the venue to shine.
Guests moved from dinner to the dance floor through draped doorways. Welcomed by a large 8-foot wide greenery chandelier to serve as a focal point for dancing all night long.
