Forget the champagne! Taylor and Derrik celebrated their marriage and got the party started with shots of tequila instead. They went all out making their rustic vineyard wedding unique and bursting with color in bold hues of fuchsia, orange, and berry just to name a few!
Their colorful celebration at Greengate Ranch & Vineyard in California was anything but plain! See all of the highlights from their day below, and see the entire day captured by the talented Jen Rodriguez Photography in the full gallery.
From Jen Rodriguez Photography: Why sip champagne when you can shoot tequila to a wedding toast? Taylor + Derrik asked the same thing – and they made it happen on the day of their celebration of love. What a way for a groom keeping the streets safe as a police officer to let loose! Tequila wasn’t the only thing popping that gleaming evening along California’s central coast in San Luis Obispo: the glamorous, party-girl fuschia flaunted by the bridesmaids drew out the piercing bright florals from the centerpieces and boutonnieres.
Bold color was a theme throughout the night, as the bouquets exploding with pink, orange, yellow, and berry found their homes in fluorescent gold goblets. Even small bites of the night aligned with the color scheme, as guests were offered sliced peaches, skewers yielding yellow butternut squash, and a rice roll doused in an orange marmalade.
They set a dreamy backdrop garnished with greenery, staggered from the rugged barn ceiling behind the bride and groom’s dinner seating. Other touches to note: cold milk served in jars with straws – topped with nothing better than a homecooked brownie. Lastly, take an extra moment to swoon over the whimsical sunbeams spilling over the newlyweds giddy in love, escaping from the guests for a moment to dance through the vineyard at sunset. This was closely followed by dancing erupting on the barn’s dance floor as the lights went down and the music went up. How better to conclude a fun, colorful celebration of love?
