My favorite moments: Jason and Ally were planning on reading their vows to each other before the ceremony, a door separating them. But Ally insisted on seeing Jason, knowing it would calm her down. So we fashioned a blindfold for him out of one of the dinner napkins, and Ally got to see her man. It led to a beautiful, raw, and emotional moment between the two.
Another favorite moment of mine happened at the ceremony. Everything was beautiful, and Ally and her dad were getting ready to walk down the aisle. Right when they reached the crowd, Ally's dad's suspenders popped off. It made for the cutest photos of Ally re-attaching her dad's suspenders while the crowd found the humor in the moment.
Jason and Ally's wedding was a dream to photograph. The amazing venue, the details, the donuts, and, of course, the beautiful couple madly in love all made for an amazing day.
Jason and Ally met through a mutual friend back in 2008. This was not the beginning of their love story though. A wine bottle marked the beginning of something more. In 2014, Ally began painting wine bottles. "Jason reached out with a request for a Seattle Seahawks wine bottle for his living room. Knowing this was an obvious attempt to hang out, I painted the bottle." One hang out led to many, and the two became inseparable.
They soon embarked on a new adventure together and moved to Southern Oregon. "Living together in the redwoods, not knowing anyone, and just having ourselves, the dogs, and peace was the best thing that could have ever happened to us. I think we truly realized the love we have for each other when we were there."
Jason and Ally have since moved back to California. Missing the place they called home, the two traveled back to Brookings for Jason's birthday to visit old friends and see the spots they loved. "Our favorite spot was the Jedediah Smith Redwoods, State Park. We hiked in together, and once we got to the biggest tree landmark, Jason asked me to be his wife. I have never been more in love than that moment, in our special place. I am so excited to spend the rest of my life with this guy who has shown me true, solid love."
