Rain on your wedding day may not be ironic (sorry Alanis Morissette) but they do say it is lucky. So if that is the case, this sweet wedding couple earned buckets of luck with their rain-soaked outdoor wedding ceremony. We will tell you one thing, it wasn't due to luck that this fabulous all-white wedding day had us staring. No, this beautiful event was a head-turner because of some solid planning, hard work and the pure love and joy these newlyweds share.

Our wedding last September will forever be my favorite day. After a year of tremendous challenges (both of our moms are fighting cancer) we finally tied the knot on a rainy Saturday in my hometown. We got married at the Grand Hall at Trump Winery in Charlottesville, Virginia. We chose this venue because it truly encapsulated what we wanted to create with our wedding - a timeless wedding with a modern flare.
What makes our wedding so special? We had our first look in a brick and marble chapel from the '80s. We got married right in the middle of a rainstorm, the rain slowed just long enough for us to say our vows - our ceremony ended up only being six minutes ( we didn't want to keep our guests in the rain too long! but wanted the VA mountains behind us.) We had over 170 guests - with 9 bridesmaids and 9 groomsmen. We chose the light mist bridesmaids dresses, cool tone silvers, and black and white tuxes to keep up with our timeless vision.
