Els Comellars is a luxury villa in Mallorca, and a collaboration between two minimalist designers, John Pawson and Claudio Silvestrin. The villa greets the eye with pink clay walls, which rises like a fortress and its surrounded by almond groves. It’s a place of geometric shapes and clean white interiors, and the ideal location for Meike and Raphael Majorca wedding. Their wedding was so unique because of the minimalistic and relaxing vibe that went through the whole wedding, from decor to food, ceremony, and the party!
Mihoci Studios photographed the day, and Das Hochzeitswerk planned every detail. You can see all the images in the full gallery.
The wedding dress was designed by Charlie Brear. Meike wore the Payton dress with Voulaire overskirt from White Concept Bridal Showroom. Meike wore a Wifey jacket and had a jean jacket designed for their daughter as well.

Mallorca seemed to be the perfect place for us, for its nice temperatures and beautiful sunny weather and it was easily reachable for everyone! We’ve been in love with the island for years, which was one of the biggest points why we’ve chosen Mallorca.
Our wedding day, in our minds, was an easy, cool summer party, with the idea of hanging around the pool, lounge music in the background, ice cream (not only for the kids) and delicious barbecue!
We wanted everybody to be dressed comfortable, summerly and relaxed. That’s why I chose a simple dress, which was not a real typical wedding dress, and Raphael chose easy summer linen suit.
The villa in Mallorca was a great location for our wedding. The minimalistic design, geometric shapes and clean interior is exactly what we love and it perfectly captured the relaxing and cool feel of the wedding.
The star of the villa is the pool – where everything took part. The ceremony had the view of the pool, we had our group photos at the base of the pool (and our photographer got into the pool to take our beautiful shoots!). Decoration was minimalistic – no flowers, just many, many candles in each area, huge balloons along the pool and a big LOVE sign that was a perfect, cool spot to shoot gorgeous photos for everybody.
One of my favorite moments of the day, was my little daughter and me walking down the aisle and looking into the happy face of my husband! It was such a sweet and magic moment which I will never forget!
Meike chose Baby’s Breath for her wedding bouquet created by Ars Festum, which symbolizes light, goodness and beginnings.

The couple wanted to keep the decor to a minimum to bring out the beauty of the villa. Instead of flowers they included a lot of candles on long wood tables.
Meike and Raphael wanted to mark their wedding with good food and a relaxing vibe! They had an open barbecue bar as well as an ice cream bar for their guests all catered by La Alacena. To keep the vibe going, Oh La La Music played under the stars at the intimate reception.
