"This is so 'me'," said bride Gia upon entering her tented wedding. This is hands down the best affirmation a planner can receive when tasked with both design and day-of production for your client! Gia and Mike had originally planned to be married in sunny, boho-inspired Southern California. Due to the pandemic, however, the couple's plans changed, and they moved their special day closer to home in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This wedding was a real party! The vibe of this special day was intended to be laid back and free-spirited. Gia & Mike opted to have a small bridal party consisting of just a Matron of Honor and Best Man. To keep the wedding jitters minimal, the couple also did a first look before the ceremony... and the moments captured were spectacular.
A giant succulent wall greeted guests at the beginning of the reception with mini macramé hangers and succulent plants, which was a huge hit!
The look and feel of their special day was a true reflection of who they are as a couple: relaxed, stylish, and - of course - fun! The weather in Pittsburgh rallied (a real blessing) and gave them the most perfect sunny and warm fall day that captured their originally-intended SoCal vibes through and through.
